The work

What goes into them.

From the posts where Benn shows the work.

  1. 01

    Concrete posts where it blows

In Mevagissey the wind kept taking the fence down, so the timber posts were swapped for concrete. If the wind takes a panel, a new one slots in.

  2. 02

    Batten fences

A modern edge for front gardens and patios, and a match for composite cladding.

  3. 03

    Feather edge and mismatch

Classic timber fences, including one that replaced a hedge, roots and all.

  4. 04

    Retaining walls

Terraforce L15 blocks filled with soil and stepped back for planting, block walls capped with porcelain, and stone face tiles.

  5. 05

    Block walls and steps

Boundary walls built, rendered and painted, and steps built into the slope.

Questions

What people ask.

Why use concrete fence posts?

Concrete posts stand up to the wind. In Mevagissey the customers were fed up with the wind blowing their fence down every few years, so the timber posts were swapped for concrete.

Can you deal with a steep bank?

Yes. Recent jobs include a seven-foot bank on a new build and a garden where 56 tons of soil came out before the walls went in.

Do you take the old fence or hedge away?

Yes. Old fences come out, and on one job a high maintenance hedge came out roots and all.

Can you match my neighbour’s fence?

Yes. Bould can match or make any fencing.
